Brand on one page
One lockup, three colours, three typefaces, four pillars, one tagline, three hard rules.
Three colours
Three typefaces
Structure is sovereignty.
Bai Jamjuree Bold, headlines
We state. We do not sell.
Inter, body and UI
Node ID RR-DXB-0041
JetBrains Mono, numbers, labels, data and code
Four pillars
- 01Sovereign by architecture
- 02Resilient by design
- 03Trustworthy by default
- 04Accountable by name
Tagline
Rewriting the Code of Civilization.
Fixed wording, original capitalisation and spelling. Full stop in running text and on standalone statement slides. No full stop when the tagline is a page title, H1 or browser title, as on redrock.io.
Three hard rules
- No em dashes, no en dashes. Anywhere.
- Corner radii from the token set only: 8, 12 and 16 px.
- No gradients, shadows, glows or blur.
Quick start
The ten rules every supplier must know before touching the brand.
Chapter 01 | Foundation
Structure is sovereignty.
What Red Rock believes, whom it serves and how the four pillars become rules for everything that follows.
Who we are
An institutional, sovereign, infrastructure-grade technology group.
Red Rock delivers managed software architecture and engineering capability, and AI agent infrastructure for operational automation and sovereign systems. Engagements are always framed as institutional capability activation and infrastructure deployment. Never resource rental, staff augmentation, outsourcing or headcount.
The group is aligned with UAE and global digital transformation, sovereign digital systems and AI-driven governance. It operates from Dubai Internet City and London.
Boilerplate: "Red Rock is an institutional capability activation group, delivering managed software architecture and AI agent infrastructure for sovereign systems and enterprise operations. We build the governance, technology and execution layers institutions need to operate at scale."

| Relationship | Red Rock Technology FZ-LLC is the Founding Shareholder and controlling shareholder of Red Rock Technology Ltd. Never "sole shareholder", "parent" or "holding". |
| Product lines | AI Agents. Neuralane, the autonomous enterprise operating layer. Seedelligence, Red Rock's sovereign food infrastructure initiative and AI Brain. Each product line carries its own mark, governed by its own guidelines. This guide covers the Red Rock masterbrand only and never combines the Red Rock logo with a product name. |

Purpose, mission, vision
Three fixed statements. Quote them exactly or not at all.
Purpose
We build the systems institutions depend on, so that they can operate with clarity, resilience and sovereignty.
Mission
To design technological systems that serve humanity at scale.
Vision
A world where critical infrastructures are clear, resilient and human-first.
Tagline meaning: "To rewrite the code means creating infrastructures that are resilient by design, sovereign by architecture and trustworthy by default."
Positioning
Infrastructure, not hours.
For governments, sovereign entities and enterprises that run critical operations, Red Rock is the institutional technology group that activates engineering capability and deploys dedicated AI agent infrastructure: governed by design, auditable in every action and accountable by name. We deliver infrastructure, not hours.
Not this
- ✕A software house that provides developers
- ✕Staff augmentation, outsourcing or headcount
- ✕A SaaS vendor or a generic AI tool
- ✕A consultancy that bills hours
- ✕A start-up seeking investment
Audiences
Five audiences. What each needs to believe, what it fears, what Red Rock proves.
| Audience | Needs to believe | Fears | Red Rock proves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Governments and public authorities | Systems can be automated and remain under public control. | Unaccountable automation, vendor lock-in. | Governed by design. Every action with economic or contractual impact requires explicit human authorisation. |
| Sovereign entities and national programmes | Infrastructure stays sovereign by architecture. | Dependence on foreign platforms, opaque systems. | Dedicated AI infrastructure hosted in Red Rock data centres. Architecture is owned. |
| Large and regulated enterprises | Capability can be activated inside the institution without becoming headcount. | Staff augmentation dressed as transformation, compliance exposure. | Managed architecture with a named owner. Auditable in every action. |
| Institutional investors, as readers of governance materials only | Governance is real and documented. | Hype, unverifiable claims. | Calm, specific, accountable language. No fundraising language, anywhere. |
| Academic, industrial and technology partners | Red Rock is a serious long-term partner. | Being a logo on a slide. | Formal partnership (MOU) with the American University in Dubai. Co-branding rules that respect the partner's mark. |
Brand idea
A rock holds because of its internal structure.
Red Rock builds the internal structure of institutions.
The surface of a rock is not what makes it hold. Its facets are the visible evidence of an internal lattice that distributes load. Red Rock works the same way: the systems it deploys are rarely seen by the public, but they are the structure that lets an institution carry weight.
Every rule in this guide follows from this idea. Structure first, surface second. Signal only where a signal is needed.
Pillars
Four pillars. Every rule in Chapters 02 to 11 traces back to one of them.
01
Sovereign by architecture
- Meaning
- Control is designed into the system, not added by contract.
- Behaviours
- Dedicated infrastructure hosted in Red Rock data centres. Architecture is owned.
- Visual
- Basalt ground, one red signal, measured geometry.
- Verbal
- "Architecture is owned."
02
Resilient by design
- Meaning
- Systems hold under load because of their internal structure.
- Behaviours
- Managed architecture. Engineering capability activated inside the institution.
- Visual
- The facet lattice, 2 and 4 px strokes, grids that are visible in the result.
- Verbal
- "Infrastructure that holds."
03
Trustworthy by default
- Meaning
- Trust is the baseline state, auditable in every action.
- Behaviours
- Audit logs. Explicit human authorisation for every action with economic or contractual impact.
- Visual
- Exact specifications, Mono data, no effects, nothing hidden.
- Verbal
- "Every action logged. Every decision authorised."
04
Accountable by name
- Meaning
- Every system, decision and asset has a named owner.
- Behaviours
- Named owners. Exact entity lines. Approval tiers in Chapter 12.
- Visual
- The Spine: one vertical line of accountability, used as the navigation indicator in this guide.
- Verbal
- "Accountability is named."
Personality
Five traits. They describe how Red Rock behaves, not how it wants to be seen.
Architectural
Thinks in systems and load paths. Shows structure rather than decoration.
Exact
Gives the number, the date, the owner. Never approximately.
Composed
Calm under scrutiny. No exclamation marks, no urgency theatre.
Sovereign
Owns its architecture, its data centres and its words. Borrows nothing.
Accountable
Names the owner of every system and every claim.
We are, we are not
Five pairs that mark where each trait tips into its failure mode.
Expression spectrum
From Institutional to Editorial. The register moves, the system does not.
Institutional
Governance documents, contracts, tenders, government audiences. Basalt and White only, red for the logo and one signal. Inter and Mono carry the page. Headlines short, declarative.Corporate
Website, decks, reports, press. The default register of redrock.io. Bai Jamjuree headlines, one red opener per document, facet lattice at low density.Editorial
Content, events, social, The CEO Briefing. Red openers and red fields permitted within the 5 to 10 percent proportion. Larger type, tighter crops, more Mono signal bars. What changes
- Proportion of red, from logo only to 10 percent
- Type scale and headline size
- Density of the facet lattice
- Presence of photography and Mono signal bars
- Sentence length and warmth
What never changes
- The master logo files and their clear space
- The three colours and the three typefaces
- No dashes, no gradients, token radii only
- Entity lines, boilerplate and proof points, word for word
- State, do not sell
Name and domain
Red Rock is named after the red rock of Mars. redrock.io is the domain. Both are published positions of the company.
The name
The future will not be inherited. It will be engineered.
The name comes from Mars, the Red Planet: the reference point for systems that must be resilient by necessity, efficient by design and able to operate autonomously for long periods. Red Rock holds that the technologies needed to sustain society on another planet are the ones needed to mature civilisation on this one. Mars is the standard the work is measured against, not a destination it sells.
Source: redrock.io, "Why We Chose the Name Red Rock", 26 August 2025.
The domain
redrock.io
The .io domain, from input and output, places Red Rock among builders of systems rather than sellers of tools. Acquired for USD 232,000 in January 2026, a figure whose digits sum to seven: the letters in RED ROCK and the faces of the Chestahedron, see 02.03. Always written in lower case: redrock.io. Never www, never a trailing slash in copy.

Chapter 02 | Logo
Logo
Three master files, measured once and never redrawn. How the symbol, the lockups and their variants are placed, sized and protected.
Logo family
Three master files. Use only these whenever the logo appears.
Rounded joins. The symbol's strokes have rounded joins and terminals. This is a fixed property of the master artwork and is never altered. The interface radii in this guide (8, 12 and 16 px) echo that property on containers, frames, buttons, cards, crops, tables and UI. The logo itself is never redrawn, and no radius is ever applied to it.
Never redraw, retrace, re-type, re-space, re-proportion, rotate, skew, outline or add effects. Never recreate the wordmark with a font. Scale proportionally only. No TM or R symbol unless the Brand Office confirms registration. The logo is never translated or transliterated: in Arabic layouts it stays in Latin script.
Symbol meaning
A faceted rock in line. Six properties, each with a meaning.
| Pentagonal silhouette | Stability. Five sides, a wide base, no overhang. |
|---|---|
| Apex | Direction. One point, upward. |
| Vertical spine | The backbone. A single line of accountability from apex to base, and the axis of exact mirror symmetry. |
| Triangular facets | Architecture. Load distributed through structure. |
| Rock | Permanence. Infrastructure that holds. |
| Red | The signal. Used once, with intent. |
Origin: the Chestahedron
The symbol is derived from the Chestahedron, a polyhedron with seven equal faces, three kite-shaped and four triangular, first described by Frank Chester in 2000. Seen in elevation it gives the pentagonal silhouette, the apex, the central spine and the triangular facets of the mark. For Red Rock it stands for a structure in balance: technology that places the human being at the centre.
Source: redrock.io, "Inside the Logo: The Geometric Heart of Red Rock", 2 September 2025.
Seven faces, seven values
- 1Resilience, the strength that protects life
- 2Elevation, the empathy that nurtures growth
- 3Discernment, the creativity that guides ethics
- 4Resonance, the harmony that connects
- 5Openness, the transparency that liberates
- 6Commitment, the dedication that builds
- 7Keystone, the discipline that sustains
Three kite faces carry the values of the heart, four triangles the actions that realise them. The seven values are context for writers and designers; the four pillars in 01.07 remain the operative rules.
Construction
Overlays only, measured from the master artwork. Unit X equals 25 percent of the symbol height. The symbol is bilaterally symmetric about its vertical axis.
| Measure | Horizontal | Stacked |
|---|---|---|
| Unit X | 25% of symbol height | 25% of symbol height |
| Symbol | 3.17X x 4X | 3.17X x 4X |
| Gap to wordmark | 0.63X | 0.64X |
| Wordmark | 10.87X x 1.60X | 4.30X x 0.64X |
| Lockup | 14.67X x 4X | 4.30X x 5.28X |
| Wordmark baseline | Optically centred on symbol | Centred under symbol |
Measured from the v1.0 vector masters at 3x. Values rounded to 0.01X. The dashed axis marks the symbol's centre line: apex, spine and base centre sit on it, and the two halves mirror within 1 px at 950 px width. Overlays are analysis only and are never part of any artwork.
Primary lockup
Horizontal. Symbol left, wordmark right. The default wherever width allows.
Use for
Headers, letterheads, documents, web navigation, slides, email signatures and most wide formats.
Web lockup
On redrock.io and in this guide's navigation the horizontal lockup is used as supplied in its two-colour form: red symbol, white wordmark. It is the FullColorReversed master, not a recolour. Use it only on Basalt, Obsidian or Graphite.
Minimum
140 px or 35 mm wide. See 02.09.
Secondary lockup
Stacked. Symbol above the wordmark, centred. For square, vertical and centred formats.
Use for
Square and vertical formats, centred compositions, signage, merchandise, social avatars where the name must appear, event badges.
Do not use
In headers, navigation or any format wider than it is tall where the horizontal lockup fits above its minimum size.
Minimum
96 px or 22 mm wide. See 02.09.
Symbol only
The symbol stands alone only where the format is a known square or the name already appears on the surface.
Permitted
Favicon, app icon, social avatar, hardware faceplates and node plates, the origin of the facet pattern, the logo reveal in motion, and any surface where the full lockup is already present.
Not permitted
As the only identifier on a document, slide, sign or press material. Never combined with a typeset "Red Rock" to form a new lockup.
Minimum
24 px or 8 mm high. Below 24 px use the Symbol_Small master, lines 15 percent heavier.
Clear space
Minimum 1X, recommended 2X, on every side. X is 25 percent of the symbol height.
What X measures
Horizontal lockup: X is 1/14.66 of the lockup width. Stacked: X is 1/5.28 of the lockup height. Symbol: X is 1/4 of its height. At 148 px wide, as in this guide's top bar, X is 10 px.
What stays out
Text, other marks, rules, frame edges, photo subjects and the edge of the format. Partner marks need 2X on each side of the dividing rule, see 02.15.
Minimum sizes
Provisional. Horizontal 140 px or 35 mm wide. Stacked 96 px or 22 mm wide. Symbol 24 px or 8 mm high.
Below 24 px the standard symbol strokes close up. Use the Symbol_Small master, lines 15 percent heavier, shown in 02.14 at 16 and 32 px. Sizes are provisional until confirmed with a physical print proof.
Variants
Four approved colour variants and one restricted. Rendered from the master alpha mask filled with the exact token colour.
Approved backgrounds
Five grounds. Basalt, Obsidian and Graphite from the dark set, White and Fog from the light set.
Not approved as grounds: Slate, Ash, Mist, Steel, Sand, Green, Amber, any colour outside the token set, and Signal Red except under the restricted variant E. Photography only with a scrim, see 02.12.
Logo on photography
Only over a solid Basalt scrim at 40 to 70 percent, in a quiet zone of the image. White or red logo.
Photography is commissioned, documentary and real. Frames above are photography briefs, not images: Chapter 07 defines subjects, light, lens and crop. Never stock, never AI-rendered.
Placement and sizing
Top left in LTR layouts, top right in RTL. Margins equal to 2X or the format margin, whichever is larger.
| Format | Lockup | Size | Position | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Web navigation, desktop | Horizontal, web lockup | 148 to 200 px wide | Top left | 2X or 24 px |
| Web navigation, mobile | Horizontal, web lockup | 140 px wide | Top left | 1X minimum, 12 px |
| Presentation 1920 x 1080 | Horizontal | 288 px wide | Top left or bottom left | 96 px side, 80 px top and bottom |
| A4 letterhead | Horizontal | 45 mm wide | Top left | 18 mm |
| Business card 85 x 55 mm | Horizontal or stacked | 35 mm or 22 mm wide | Centred on the front | 5 mm minimum |
| Social avatar | Symbol | 60% of the square | Centred | 20% each side |
| Signage and backdrops | Stacked or horizontal | By viewing distance, Tier 1 | Centred or top left | 2X minimum |
Provisional values for Phase 1. Chapter 11 confirms each application with a measured mockup.
Favicon, app icon and avatar
Red symbol on a Basalt square at 60 percent of the height. Sizes 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 px.
Supply square artwork. Host platforms apply their own corner mask to app icons; 16 to 48 px favicons stay square. At 16 and 32 px the symbol is below its 24 px floor, so both favicons are built from the Symbol_Small master. The 48 px favicon and the app icons use the standard symbol.
Co-branding and partner lockups
Red Rock and the partner mark, separated by a 2 px Iron vertical rule, at equal visual height, with 2X clear space on each side.
- Red Rock on the left in LTR layouts, on the right in RTL layouts.
- Equal visual height: match the optical mass of the two marks, not their bounding boxes.
- 2X clear space between each mark and the rule.
- Never merged, never overlapping, never on red.
- Government and sovereign partner marks follow the partner's own guidelines for their mark.
- Partner marks are reproduced from files the partner supplies, never redrawn.
- Co-branding is a Tier 1 approval: Brand Office, Legal and Executive Board.
- The partnership with the American University in Dubai is the current reference case.
Entity line
An Inter footer. Never locked up with the logo.

Misuse: form
Six ways to alter the mark. All forbidden.
Misuse: context
Six ways to place the mark badly. All forbidden.
About the wordmark
Bai Jamjuree Bold, uppercase, minus 2 percent letter spacing, converted to outlines in the master files. Never re-typed: always the artwork.
The wordmark is set in Bai Jamjuree Bold by Cadson Demak, SIL Open Font Licence, in uppercase with minus 2 percent letter spacing. In the master files the text is converted to outlines, so no font needs to be installed to reproduce it. It exists only inside the lockups.
The headline typeface and the wordmark therefore share a source, which is why headlines must never be set in uppercase: a Bai Jamjuree Bold uppercase headline would read as a second wordmark.
Confirmed by the brand kit v1.0. Vector masters supplied.
Chapter 03 | Colour
Red is a signal, not a fill.
Three core colours, a measured set of neutrals, and the contrast arithmetic that decides where each one may be used.
Core palette
Basalt, Signal Red, White. Everything else is a tint of the ground or a functional exception.
Token cards
Fifteen tokens. Every value copies with one click. CSS variable names match the token name in lower case.
{{ grp.g }}
Proportion
Basalt 70 to 80 percent. White 15 to 25 percent. Signal Red at most 5 to 10 percent.
Where red goes
The logo. One accent per surface: a label, a rule, a focus series, a status that is critical. Full red fields only on chapter openers and limited event or merchandise moments, at most three in this guide.
How to measure
Estimate by area, not by count. A red opener on a 40-page document is within proportion. A red button on every card is not.
Extended neutrals
Seven steps from Basalt to Fog. Each has one job. Two of them are never text.
| Token | HEX | Role | Text |
|---|---|---|---|
| Obsidian | #121216 | Surface 1. Cards, panels, sidebars on Basalt. | Ground only |
| Graphite | #1C1C21 | Surface 2. Hover, nested surfaces, photo placeholders. | Ground only |
| Iron | #2A2A31 | Rules and frames, 2 px. Dividers in Mono labels. | Never text |
| Slate | #5A5A64 | Decorative lines only: hatching, lattice at low density. | Never text |
| Ash | #8E8E98 | Secondary text on dark, captions, Mono labels. | 6.17:1 on Basalt |
| Mist | #C9C9D0 | Tertiary text on dark, lead paragraphs, chart series 3. | 12.15:1 on Basalt |
| Fog | #E6E6EA | Hairlines and fills on white. Light-ground frames. | Ground only |
Functional colours
Red Ink, Green and Amber. UI, documents and data only. Never in brand communication.
Red Ink #D61F1F
Red text below 24 px on white, 5.15:1. Not a brand colour: it exists so that a red label in a printed table remains legible.
Critical status
Uses Signal Red, always with an icon and a label, never colour alone. Green and Amber follow the same rule.
Contrast matrix and checker
Computed live from WCAG relative luminance. AA requires 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and graphics.
Approved combinations
The pairs that pass, at the sizes where they pass. Everything else needs the checker.
Print production
Starting builds for CMYK and spot. Every value is approximate until proofed.
Approximate. To be verified with a physical print proof before production.
| Colour | CMYK | Spot, primary | Spot, alternate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signal Red | C0 M85 Y80 K0 starting build. Formula C0 M81 Y81 K0. | Pantone Warm Red C | Pantone Red 032 C |
| Basalt | Rich black C60 M40 Y40 K100 for large areas. K100 for small text. | Pantone Neutral Black C | Pantone Black 6 C |
| White | Paper white. Opaque white ink or foil on dark substrates. | None | None |
01
Profiles
sRGB for digital. FOGRA39 or the printer's own profile for print. Never convert twice.
02
Wet proof
Request a physical proof on the production stock for Signal Red and Basalt side by side.
03
Approve
The Brand Office signs the proof under daylight D50. The signed proof becomes the reference for the run.
04
Record
Record stock, profile, press and final build in the asset register. Strokes in print: 0.25, 0.5 and 1 pt.
Data visualisation palette
Six categorical colours in fixed order, red for the focus series only. Five sequential steps, discrete, never a gradient.
Misuse
Six ways to break the palette.
Chapter 04 | Typography
Three voices. One register.
Bai Jamjuree states, Inter explains, JetBrains Mono records. Three scales, one hierarchy, and the Arabic companions.
Typeface overview
Three Latin typefaces and two Arabic companions, all under the SIL Open Font Licence, loaded from Google Fonts with system fallbacks.
| Typeface | Role | Weights | Case | Tracking |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bai Jamjuree | Headlines, Display to H3. SemiBold for H4 and below. | 700, 600 | Sentence case | -1% at 48 px and above |
| Inter | Body, UI, tables, footers, entity lines. | 400, 500, 600 | Sentence case | 0 |
| JetBrains Mono | Numbers, labels, data, code, captions, section numbers. | 400, 500 | Uppercase for labels only | +8% uppercase |
| Noto Kufi Arabic | Arabic headlines. Never for Latin text. | 700, 600 | n/a | 0 |
| IBM Plex Sans Arabic | Arabic body and UI. Approved alternates: Readex Pro, Alexandria. | 400, 500, 600 | n/a | 0 |
System fallbacks: system-ui, sans-serif for Bai Jamjuree and Inter; ui-monospace, monospace for JetBrains Mono. Fallbacks are for failure only. A document set in a fallback is not approved artwork.
Bai Jamjuree specimen
The headline voice. Squared, slightly technical, close in spirit to the wordmark without imitating it.
Use
Display, H1, H2, H3 in Bold. H4 and smaller headings in SemiBold. Sentence case only. Tracking minus 1 percent at 48 px and above, otherwise 0.
Never
Body text, tables, UI labels, uppercase settings, or any attempt to reproduce the wordmark. Never below 18 px.
Inter specimen
The explaining voice. Neutral, legible at small sizes, built for interfaces and long documents.
Use
Lead, Body, Small, Caption. 400 for running text, 500 for emphasis in UI, 600 for strong emphasis and table row headers. Tracking 0. Line length 60 to 75 characters.
Never

Arabic typography
Noto Kufi Arabic for headlines, IBM Plex Sans Arabic for body. 10 to 15 percent larger than Latin, line height 1.7 to 1.8, never justified.
- Arabic right-aligned, English left-aligned. Never justified in either language.
- Western digits 0 to 9 in both languages. Identifiers, dates and node codes stay in Latin script.
- Arabic set 10 to 15 percent larger than the Latin at the same level; line height 1.7 to 1.8.
- Never set Latin text in Noto Kufi Arabic. Mono labels remain in JetBrains Mono, LTR.

- Specimen text above is illustrative. Production copy comes from a professional translator and is labelled as such until approved.
Misuse
Six ways to break the type system.
Chapter 05 | Graphic language and layout
Square. Line. Signal. Structure.
The geometry of the symbol, extended into pattern, rule, bar and grid. Everything on the page is built from the same four moves.
Principles: Square, Line, Signal, Structure
Four principles that decide every layout before any content is placed.
Square
Frames, cards, crops and buttons are rectangular with token radii of 8, 12 or 16 px. No pills, no circles as containers, no organic shapes.
Line
Structure is drawn, never filled. 2 and 4 px strokes on screen, 0.25, 0.5 and 1 pt in print. Iron for frames, Slate for decoration, White for emphasis.
Signal
One red element per surface, placed where the eye should go first. If two things are red, neither is a signal.
Structure
Everything sits on the grid and the 4 px spacing scale. The grid may show: a visible column rule is a feature, not a mistake.
Facet geometry
A lattice built from the symbol's angles: the pentagon, the spine, and the two diagonals that meet at the base.
The facet cell is an abstraction of the symbol, not a copy. It keeps the pentagonal silhouette, the vertical spine from apex to shoulder line and the two diagonals that cross at the lower third. It drops the inner triangles.
Cells tile in offset rows to form the Facet Field. Strokes are 2 px Iron or Slate at screen size, 0.5 pt in print. Joins are rounded, inheriting the symbol's property.
The cell is never used as a logo, never filled, never red except as the single red facet in a field.
Facet Field pattern
Iron or Slate lines, at most one red facet, never dense behind text.
Density
Sparse and Low for documents and the website. Medium for event backdrops and covers. Dense and Very dense only for merchandise and hardware faceplates where no text is present.
The red facet
At most one cell in the whole field is Signal Red, and only when no other red signal is on the surface. It is never adjacent to the logo.
The Spine
A vertical rule derived from the symbol's spine. 2 or 4 px, Signal Red, one per surface. The navigation indicator in this guide.
The Spine is always vertical, always full-height of the element it marks, always the only red rule on the surface. Horizontal rules are Iron.
Signal bar
A single Mono line of live facts, separated by Iron dividers. Used on redrock.io, in video lower thirds and on hardware.
Content
Facts only: time, place, status, episode, node, version. Never a headline, never a call to action. Values in White, keys in Ash, one item may be red.
Form
Label 12/16 Mono uppercase, plus 8 percent tracking, items separated by an Iron pipe with 16 px either side. Bounded by 2 px Iron rules or a frame.
Grids
Twelve columns everywhere. Web, presentation and A4 differ only in margins and gutters. Press G to see this guide's own grid.
| Format | Columns | Max width | Gutter | Margins | Baseline |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Web | 12 | 1440 px | 24 px | 96 px desktop, 32 px tablet, 20 px mobile | 8 px |
| Presentation 16:9 | 12 | 1920 x 1080 px | 24 px | 96 px sides, 80 px top and bottom | 8 px |
| A4 | 12 | 210 x 297 mm | 4 mm | 18 mm | 3 mm |
Composition library
Six compositions that cover most surfaces. Each is a 16:9 frame; the same arrangement holds in portrait.
Misuse
Six ways to break the graphic language.
Chapter 06 | Iconography
Drawn, not illustrated.
Monoline icons on the facet angles, with the symbol's rounded joins, in square frames. Twenty-four to start.
Icon principles
Icons are small diagrams. They inherit the symbol's rules: one stroke weight, rounded joins, square frame, no fill.
01
Monoline
1.5 px stroke on the 24 px grid, scaling with the icon. Never two weights in one icon. Never filled shapes except a dot of 1 px.
02
Facet angles
Diagonals follow the symbol's shoulder and base angles. Verticals and horizontals are exact. No arbitrary curves.
03
Rounded joins
Round caps and round joins, inherited from the master artwork. This is the one place the symbol's property is deliberately extended.
04
Square frame
Every icon lives in a 24 px square with a 2 px safe margin. Optical centring over mathematical. Colour: White, Ash, or Signal Red when it is the status.
Construction grid
24 px grid, 2 px safe margin, 1.5 px stroke. Keylines for circle, square and tall and wide rectangles.
| Artboard | 24 x 24 px |
|---|---|
| Safe margin | 2 px, live area 20 x 20 |
| Stroke | 1.5 px, round cap, round join |
| Keylines | Circle r10, square 20, tall 16 x 20, wide 20 x 16 |
| Corner radius | 2 px on rectangles, matching the stroke's round join |
| Export | SVG with currentColor stroke, 16, 20, 24, 32, 48 px |
| Naming | RR_Icon_Name_Outline_v1.0.svg |
Core set of 24
From infrastructure and agent to audit log, human authorisation, governance and data centre. Inline SVG, named, currentColor.
The set is a working draft at version 1.0. New icons are requested through the Brand Office with a name, a use case and a 24 px drawing on the grid.
Icons in use
Always with a label in UI. Alone only where the meaning is fixed by position, as in a toolbar.
Misuse
Robots, brains, light bulbs and rockets are banned subjects. Filled, multicolour and off-grid icons are banned forms.
Chapter 07 | Imagery
Real places. Real machines.
Commissioned documentary photography of the infrastructure Red Rock actually runs. No stock, no renders, no metaphors.
Photography principles
Real, documentary, commissioned. If it did not happen in a Red Rock place, it is not a Red Rock photograph.
01
Real
Red Rock's own racks, rooms, offices and cities. Photographed by a commissioned photographer with a brief from this chapter.
02
Documentary
Available light where possible, no staging, no props. People appear as roles at work, never posed, never named in captions.
03
Structural
Frames favour lines, grids and repetition: cable trays, rack rails, facade modules, the skyline as a row of verticals.
Never
Stock or synthetic
No stock libraries, no AI-generated images, no glowing brains, robots, blue circuits, handshakes or people pointing at screens.
Subjects and briefs
Four subjects, each as a photography brief frame: subject, light, lens, crop. Frames are briefs, not images, until the commissioned photograph is approved.
Photographed, approved for use
Treatment
Low saturation, deep shadows, neutral whites. Solid Basalt scrims at 40 to 70 percent when type or logo sits on the image.
| Parameter | Setting | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Saturation | minus 20 to minus 40 percent | Red in the scene is allowed to remain; everything else recedes. |
| Shadows | Deep, detail held at 5 percent luminance | Shadows read as Basalt so the image sits on the page without a frame. |
| White balance | Neutral, 5000 to 5600 K | No warm or cool grade. Blue hour keeps its natural blue. |
| Scrim | Solid Basalt at 40, 60 or 70 percent | Never a gradient scrim, never blur. Logo and text follow Chapter 03 contrast on the scrimmed value. |
| Crop | 3:2, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5 | Corners follow the container radius. Never circular crops. |
| Retouching | Dust, sensor, safety only | No compositing, no sky replacement, no added elements. |
Diagrams and technical drawings
Technical line drawings in the icon stroke. Boxes, rules, Mono labels, one red path for the thing being explained.
Form
2 px Iron boxes with 8 px radius, Slate connectors with open arrowheads, Mono labels in Mist with Ash sub-labels. One red box or path marks the subject.
Never
Isometric 3D, clip art, icons as actors, colour-coded swimlanes, drop shadows, or more than one red element.
Misuse
Shown as labelled grey frames. None of these images exists in Red Rock material, and none is rendered here.
Chapter 08 | Data visualisation
One red series. Every source named.
Charts are records. They label directly, cite their source and never use depth or decoration.
Chart principles
Four rules that apply to every chart, table and figure in every Red Rock document.
01
One red focus series
Signal Red marks the series the reader should compare against. All other series use White, Mist, Ash, Steel and Sand in that order.
02
Direct labels
Values and series names sit on or beside the mark. No legends to decode, no hover-only values in print.
03
Source line
Every chart carries a Mono source line: origin, period, unit, and "Illustrative data" when values are not real.
04
No 3D, no decoration
Flat marks, 2 px rules, Iron grid lines at most every second tick. No pie charts: use a bar.
Live examples
Bar, line and stacked bar from the same illustrative data. Switch the type and watch the rules hold.
Labels, sources and units
Title in Inter, numbers in Mono with tabular figures, source in Mono Ash. Units in the title, not on every axis label.
| Element | Style | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Inter 600 16/22 White | States what is measured, the period and the unit: "Authorised actions by quarter, thousands". |
| Axis labels | Mono 400 11 or 12, Ash | Round numbers, at most five ticks, no unit suffixes. |
| Value labels | Mono 400 12, White or series colour | On or beside the mark. Tabular figures. One decimal at most. |
| Grid lines | 2 px Iron | Horizontal only, at most every second tick. No vertical grid. |
| Source line | Mono 400 12, Ash | "Source: origin, period, unit." plus "Illustrative data." when not real. Always present. |
| Currency and dates | EUR 25,000, 2 October 2026 | As in 04.08. Ranges with "to". Western digits in Arabic charts. |
Misuse
Four ways to make a chart untrustworthy.
Chapter 09 | Motion
Assemble, do not morph.
Things arrive in place along straight paths, in three durations, with one easing. Nothing bounces, blurs or dissolves.
Principles and tokens
Durations 120, 240 and 480 ms. Easing cubic-bezier(0.2, 0, 0, 1). Opacity and position only.
| Token | Value | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Fast | 120 ms | Hover, focus, toggle state, colour change. |
| Base | 240 ms | Panels, menus, reveals of a single element. |
| Slow | 480 ms | Page-level transitions, chart draws, sequenced groups. |
| Easing | cubic-bezier(0.2, 0, 0, 1) | Everything. Fast out, settled in. No bounce, no overshoot, no linear. |
| Stagger | 40 ms per item, 8 items maximum | Lists and grids assemble top to bottom, left to right. |
| Reduced motion | prefers-reduced-motion | All transitions and animations off. Final states shown immediately. |
Assemble
Elements move into their final position along a straight line of 8 to 16 px and fade from 0 to 1. The final frame is always the static design.
Do not morph
No shape morphing, no scaling from zero, no rotation, no blur, no parallax, no looping ambient animation. Nothing moves that the user did not cause, except the logo reveal and status indicators.
Logo reveal
1600 ms in four stages: spine, facets, outline, wordmark. Implemented by masking the master file, never by redrawing. The final frame equals the master.
| Stage | Time | What appears | Method |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Spine | 0 to 400 ms | The vertical from apex to centre. | Mask reveals a narrow vertical slice of the master. |
| 2 Facets | 400 to 800 ms | Internal triangles. | Mask reveals the inner region of the master. |
| 3 Outline | 800 to 1200 ms | The pentagon. | Mask reveals the full symbol. |
| 4 Wordmark | 1200 to 1600 ms | RED ROCK, moving 16 px from the right. | Master wordmark fades and translates into place. Final frame equals the master file. |
Under prefers-reduced-motion the final frame is shown immediately. The reveal plays once per session on the website and at the start of every video. It is never looped.
Interface motion
Panels slide 16 px and fade in 240 ms. Status bars fill in 480 ms. Hover and focus change in 120 ms.
Video system: The CEO Briefing
Title card, lower third and end card for YouTube. Episode format "The CEO Briefing | Episode 04 | Topic". Roles, never names.
Lower thirds enter from the left over 240 ms, hold for at least 4 seconds, exit the same way. Captions in Inter 400, 2 px Iron rule above. The Chairman is never referenced in UK-facing material.
Misuse
Described, not performed. None of these is animated in this guide.
Chapter 10 | Verbal identity
We state. We do not sell.
How Red Rock writes: the principles, the vocabulary, the rules, the claims policy, and a tool that checks a draft before it leaves the building.
Principles
Five principles. Each one is a test a sentence either passes or fails.
Do and don't
The three corrections that come up most often, side by side.
Messaging house
One roof statement, four pillars, one foundation of proof.
Vocabulary
Preferred terms and banned terms. The Copy Check tool in 10.10 enforces the banned list.
Writing rules
Mechanical rules that apply to every sentence, in every channel, in every language.
Claims policy
What may be claimed, how, and by whose confirmation.
| Topic | Rule | Confirmed by |
|---|---|---|
| Statistics | No fabricated or unverified statistics. Every number carries a source. If no source, no number. | Brand Office and the data owner |
| Capabilities | "Designed to" for capabilities not yet deployed. "Deployed" only for live systems with a named owner. | Chief Technology Officer's office |
| Awards and selections | Only the proof points in 10.04, worded exactly. Nothing inflated, nothing paraphrased. | Brand Office |
| Press | Only outlets listed in 10.04 and on redrock.io may be named: Gulf News, Khaleej Times, Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, AP News, Benzinga, TechBullion, The Arabian Post, FIRSTonline. A placement is "coverage" or "editorial" only if the Brand Office confirms it was earned. Sponsored placements are labelled sponsored. | Brand Office |
| People | Brand copy uses roles, not names. Names, titles and portraits of leadership and team appear only in the Leadership section of redrock.io and in governance documents, never in brand materials. The Chairman is never referenced in UK-facing material. | Legal |
| Clients and partners | Named only with written permission and a signed agreement on file. The current list of clients and partners is published on redrock.io and is not reproduced in this guide. | Legal and Brand Office |
| Finance | No fundraising language. Investors appear only as readers of governance materials. No valuations. | Executive Board |

Copy Check tool
Paste a draft. The tool flags dashes, banned vocabulary, product and entity misstatements, the wrong university name, and format slips, each with the correct replacement. Runs in the browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Checks: em and en dashes; banned vocabulary from 10.05; "platform" near "Seedelligence"; "compliance software" near "Neuralane"; "sole shareholder", "parent" or "holding" near "Red Rock Technology"; "American University of Dubai"; exclamation marks; currency and date formats; common American spellings. A clean result is not an approval: Tier rules in Chapter 12 still apply.
